Holy Rosary Parish is seeking two new positions to be part of our newly formed Catechesis and Evangelization Team. This team includes the Coordinator of Adult Catechesis, Coordinator of Family Catechesis and Coordinator of Youth Evangelization & Discipleship.
Coordinator of Youth Evangelization & Discipleship (CYED)
Full Time Exempt position with benefit package. Flexible schedule which does include some weekends and evenings.
Salary: ~$43,000. annually
Reports to: Pastor and Parish Administrator
Overview: The CYED will be responsible to plan, organize and implement evangelization and discipleship opportunities for youth and assist with the youth Confirmation preparation process. The CYED will focus on opportunities for middle and high school youth (6th – 12th grades) that help them encounter Jesus Christ and his Church through weekly catechetical sessions, small groups, youth gatherings, and retreats. The CYED is also responsible for collaborating with the Coordinator of Family Catechesis to develop and implement Confirmation preparation for youth and to accompany youth in the pre-Confirmation and post Confirmation process. The CYED recruits, trains and empowers youth and adult volunteers to serve as facilitators, small group leaders, retreat leaders and mentors. They mentor and and accompany youth at different stages of their faith journey and foster a positive and inclusive environment in the parish where youth feel safe, supported and valued.
Coordinator of Adult Catechesis (CAC)
Part time position consisting of 16 hours per week. Position may require some evening and weekend hours.
Salary: Hourly pay starting at $22.00/hour
Reports to: Pastor and Parish Administrator
Overview: The CAC is responsible for planning and coordinating regular parish retreats, parish missions, Bible studies and small group faith studies at Holy Rosary. The CAC has a vital role in supporting the OCIA coordinator and the OCIA process as well as parents and sponsors of youth preparing for the Sacraments. The CAC recruits, trains and provides support to adult volunteers to teach and share the Catholic faith with adults in the parish. They collaborate with parish staff and committees to encourage the involvement of adult parishioners in faith growth opportunities and parish ministries.
